I got an auto-call from Amtrak a couple days ago saying our itinerary would include a bus ride to Hammond LA because of the forecast regarding the flooding on the MIssissippi River. I got a subsequent auto-call yesterday saying the bus would not me part of the trip and that we were back on the train for the entire trip but would be delayed arriving in Chicago by a couple hours. Then I got a 3rd auto-call yesterday afternoon saying never mind the previous auto-calls and the original itinerary would be the correct one. Seems the Army Corp of Engineers have opened a spillway that will eliminate the problems regarding the flood waters along our route.
